Baking and smiling.

Lesson one for the day: smile, it makes you feel better.

I have been having nasty headaches since Monday morning, so, if you do the math that is four days now. It has been a few very unpleasant days of sniffles, sore throat, headaches and sinus pressure. Today it has seemed to lighten up a little, which is great.

On my way back from class it was sunny outside which always makes me feel better. Gloomy days suck. I was just walking along and started to smile. My headache seemed to disappear for a few seconds so I thought I might continue to try and smile. It may not have cured me but I felt/feel better.

Lesson two for the day: do something you enjoy doing because it makes you feel better. I like to bake.

Thomas has been wanting lemon bars for a while now. I told him that if he got the ingredients that I would make them for him. When I got back from class I started making his lemon bars. Making something new out of a new recipe book is fun and can put a smile on your face.

Since my boyfriend is on a low-carb diet I can't really make any of the desserts in my cook book for him to try out. So I am glad that I have someone to test my baking skills out on.

Cooking and baking always seems to be a good way to work out stress and have a little fun.
