Lesson for the day: checking out your old profiles on other sites is very entertaining and has some sort of nostalgia to it.
I was looking at my Myspace today that by the way I haven't updated in about a year and a half. It's crazy how much changes in that amount of time. You get older, you like a different color, you live somewhere else, you have a new favorite song, etc.
I remember when people were crazy about being on someone else's Top 8. It was cool if you were on someone's Top 8. Some of my Top 8 is gone. The only reason I know this is because my Top 8 is now a Top 6. Some of my friends must have deleted their Myspace. I should follow suit and do the same.
I wish that as a society we wouldn't be so "connected" on the internet. I wish people would take more time out of the day and go outside or read a book. Just from how much I use the internet I am sure there are plenty of people who use it more often than I do. I'm not saying that internet usage is a bad thing. Facebook and Myspace are perfectly fine in moderation and used responsibly.
It's crazy to see how much the internet has changed our society. Twitter is a hot spot for news. There have been major events when people report things faster on Twitter than an actual news source. It's unreal how fast things move on the internet and social networking sites. Sometimes I would like to go back to the olden days when there wasn't internet or even computers.
I always think about taking a break from Facebook or even Myspace but I am never really able to give it up for more than 12 hours, which isn't the length of a break I want to take. I would like to be able to take a week break from one or the other or both. I just feel like I would miss so much of what was going on in the world, but people used to live like that and seemed to be content.
Such a love-hate relationship with the internet. So entertaining but it's taking over the world it seems.
